Each thread of this saree is infused with ancient royalty of Indian Darbar, carrying the wisdom of centuries. You epitomise yourself as the powerful queen as you drape yourself in the rich hues and weave reminiscent of the queenly endeavour. The saree showcases sophistication and pride of Indian Darbar. The saree is intricately layered with lustrous sheer luxury and momentous empyrean experience. It beautifully depicts circles of life and livelihood, while royal elephants are seen heading towards the Raj Darbar in full victory and pride. The saree becomes the testament to your strength and stability, mirroring the unyeilding yet shahi experience similar to the experience when you walk in a shahi gajapati darbar.

This Sambalpuri saree is made from the premium quality mulberry silk fabrics that are smooth, soft and durable with a bright shiny appearance gives the wearer a pleasant look with a supreme pleasure of comfort.

A Sambalpuri saree is a traditional handwoven ikat or sari (locally called sadhi) wherein the warp and the weft are tie-dyed before weaving. It is produced in the Bargarh, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Balangir district, and Boudh District of Odisha. The saree is a traditional female garment in the Indian Subcontinent consisting of a strip of unstitched cloth ranging from four to nine meters in length that is draped over the body in various styles.

Sambalpuri sarees are known for their incorporation of traditional motifs like shankha (shell), chakra (wheel), and phula (flower), all of which have deep symbolism with the traditional craftsmanship of the ‘Bandhakala’, the Tie-dye art reflected in their intricate weaves, also known as Sambalpuri “Ikkat”. In this technique, the threads are first tie-dyed and later woven into a fabric, with the entire process taking many weeks.
