The Berhampuri silk patta is a unique gorgeous creation of weaved poetry owing to the time taken to weave, from the silk city of Odisha -Berhampur. Earlier there used to be over 500 weaving families of Berhampuri silk. However, now there are just about fifty weaving families remaining, who can still carry on the Berhampuri patta weaving, done with much precision and skill. Let's keep this luxurious and intricate art of weave alive and celebrate Odisha's fine craftsmanship and artistry of woven luxuries.
