Pasapali Sari is a handloom sari weaved mainly in the Bargarh district of Odisha, India. The name Pasapali is derived from pasā or gambling games using Chessboard. These saris have intricate check patterns of contrast colors resembling the chess boards which gives it its name.
This rich Sambalpuri Passapali saree is a beautiful masterpiece in which warp/weft is tied and dyed prior to weaving. This saree is glamourized by green pasapali ikat , in white base body and with ikat bandha designs the pallu, with border black base and rudrashkha dobby. Its ideal for evening gatherings and intimate events.
