This Ganjam bomkai saree is a Handwoven Handspun fine tussar from Gopalpur, Odisha.Saree length 6.4 mts including blouse piece.This traditional handwoven work all over the body is super unique and special because of the time taken to complete a single saree, which is a minimum of a month.The different types of motifs used are Kanthiphula, atasi flower, bitter gourd flower, fly, birds, peacock, fish lotus, damru etc in geometrical forms. Some of the border motifs used are rows of kumbha.
