Nine houses or kothi or kothiri with 9 auspicious motifs placed in a linear way horizontally on the body containing nine different designs like pot, bird, lion , chessboard,lotus ,deer , butterfly , Peacock, flower in one line and another nine in other line ...with floral motifs in border n anchal popularly known as Nabakothi or Nabakothi saree.
This Saree Is crafted from fine cotton with fine finish. Ikat technique involves tying and dyeing of yarn prior to weaving which results in its characteristic pattern after weaving. The tie and dye technique is used to design the motifs on this saree. Traditional rudraksha motifs are woven using a dobby shedding device and a temple pattern is chosen for the borders. Pallu has ikat flower motifs woven as multiple horizontal stripes.
