Ikat's ,uniqueness lies in the complex process of weaving. Each thread of the fabric is dyed with precision at various lengths. Handwoven Ikat cotton handloom saree where warp and waft are tie-dyed, prior to the weaving process.
Tie and dye technique is used to design the motifs on this saree. Traditional rudraksha motifs are woven using a dobby shedding device and a temple pattern is chosen for the borders. Pallu has ikat flower motifs woven as multiple horizontal stripes.
